Public Awareness Programme 2002 7th Ocean Park Conservation Day
The 7th Ocean Park Conservation Day was successfully held on 12 January 2002 at the Ocean Park Conservation Square. The Foundation was delighted to have Mr. K.K. Liu, Deputy Director of Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department to be one of the Guests of Honour at the opening ceremony. In addition to our Foundation Ambassador, Mr. Andy Lau, and our Education Ambassador of the Millennium, Mr. Edison Chen, Ms. Stephanie Che and Ms. Winnie Leung also joined us to officiate the opening ceremony.
Ms. Stephanie Che was nominated as our Dolphins Conservation Ambassador as well. Prizes had been presented to the gold winners of the "Hand-in-hand, Save the Whales and Dolphins" Award Scheme and the winners of "Environmental Game Booth Design Competition".
In addition, "Make Friends With Puppet"also gave us a puppet show performance. It features colourful and animated puppet characters to encourage us to appreciate and protect our precious environment. There were also educational and recreational game booths. All of the participants had a fun time. Ocean Park Corporation had already donated all the gate admission income to Ocean Park Conservation Foundation as the fund of scientific researches and educational programmes.
