"Conserve our Panda" Charity Dinner 2007

The Foundation made a pledge of raising HK$10 million in five years to support the panda conservation projects to ensure the survival of the pandas and their natural habitats.  We are excited to kick off the Panda Fundraising Year with the "Conserve our Panda" Charity Dinner on 19 May 2007, raising $2 million to support our in-situ and ex-situ panda conservation efforts.

We are honored to have Dr. Xu Yan Ting and Ms Judy Hua donating their pieces for our charity auction, Mrs. Carrie Lam, JP to kick off the dinner event with an opening speech as well as Mr. Timothy Fok, GBS, JP to bid for our auction Say "Hi" to Ying Ying and Le Le.

The night was supported by 200 guests, sharing their love on pandas through dressing in black and white.  Before the dinner, the guests enjoyed their cocktail with a preview of Dr. Xu’s paintings and Ms Hua's fashion pieces.  A special edition of "Spellbound On Ice" added colours and excitement to the dinner.  The Foundation would like to thank Crown Worldwide Group, Bank of China (HK) Ltd. and all the donors, sponsors and supporters to make this event successful.

Foundation Chair Judy Chen and Director Suzanne Gendron presented a souvenir to acknowledge our Scientific Research Donor Crown Worldwide Group.
