"Conserve our Nature, Rebuild the Panda Habitat"
Charity Night 2010



OPCF organized a charity night on 9 January 2010 and raised over $1.7 million to provide long-term rebuilding efforts to the panda reserves in the Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu provinces in China. The night was filled with fun and meaning in the theme of "Conserve our Nature, Rebuild the Panda Habitat". Share the joy of the night and give your helping hands to the pandas in need.

Officiating guest Mr. Wang Zhi Min, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R. conveying his best wishes to the pandas in China.

Officiating guest Mrs. Carrie Lam, the Secretary for Development, thanked all the donors and Hong Kong people for supporting the rebuilding of the Wolong nature reserve.

Dr. Simon Kwok, Chairman and CEO of Title Sponsor Sa Sa International Holdings Ltd. called for donation to help rebuild the earthquake affected areas in China.


Ocean Park donated the day's gate revenue to the Foundation for conservation. Last year, Ocean Park donated $7.48 million to OPCFHK.

Officiating guests, sponsors, Ocean Park board members and OPCFHK trustees joined hands to give hope to the pandas in need.

Mr. Trey Lee, world renowned cello virtuoso, was appointed as OPCFHK's Asian Conservation Ambassador. His performance with pianist Ms Nicolette Wong touched the soul of the 500 guests of the night.

Mr. Eric Tsang and Ms Sara Lee hosted the charity auction sessions. Bidders are competitive to win many fabulous panda-inspired items.
