Living Habitat of Giant Pandas
Where can we find wild Giant Pandas?

They are solely found in three south western provinces of China, they are Sichuan, Gansu and Shaanxi.

Historically, where were Giant Pandas found besides the three provinces mentioned?

Giant Pandas once ranged in northern Vietnam, Burma and in China they ranged widely over eastern and southern regions as for north as Beijing.

Where do Giant Pandas live and what is their habitat like?

The Giant Pandas live in bamboo forests ranging from 4,000 to 11,000 feet above sea level, where it is humid. In winter, they migrate lower down the mountains, while in summer they stay in the higher reaches.

How big is the home range of a Giant Panda?

The male's home range is larger than that of the female. A male's home range can be up to 30Km2.
